Did a classical dance for Christmas program. This is sometime which I have never attempted to do before but this time I initiated it. I know so crazy but in a week I learn this dance with friends and performed it. Something I really wanted to do as a challenge. Love doing it. so much fun.

poem by William Blake

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour

What a great poem, need to notice the details in life. It might not come naturally but would be an amazing perspective.

sunrise

“I'll tell you how the sun rose, a ribbon at a time.
The steeples swam in amethyst,
The news like squirrels ran.
The hills untied their bonnets,
The bobolinks begun.
Then I said softly to myself,

"That must have been the sun!”

so fragile

Life is so fragile,
you blink and it's gone.
wish death did not come to little children.
they have so far to go..so many dreams to dream.
so many places to discover, to create and break...
to turn the world upside down....so many choices to make.

so far to go in this world...
What would become of them we'll never know now.

so fragile is life
you blink and it's gone

New Season

I never thought I was so into taking pictures of leaves but when I saw my collection, I am convinced. =) Love the colours, patterns and shapes I see on these leaves.I am amazed at  God creation.  Each plant has it's own unique features.
Leaves are so fresh, full of life and promise. That's the season I am in, season of refreshment, new growth, new relationships and new understanding of myself. And in all of this I got to remember to fix my eyes on God.

Isaiah 6:1

this week

Some snapshots of the week....glimpses through pictures .

Nature

"Nature" is what we see—
The Hill—the Afternoon—
Squirrel—Eclipse— the Bumble bee—
Nay—Nature is Heaven—
Nature is what we hear—
The Bobolink—the Sea—
Thunder—the Cricket—
Nay—Nature is Harmony—
Nature is what we know—
Yet have no art to say—
So impotent Our Wisdom is
To her Simplicity.

Matthew 6:26

Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?

When we worry we show that we don't trust God enough.

Birds have a higher perspective which I need. Would be so cool to get a photograph of birds from above and see what they can see. =)
Still wish I could fly.

girl child

Why is it that a girl child is killed before she is born?
why is it that a girl child is not given the same love as a boy?
why is there no place for them in the family? Why are they seen as they belong to someone else?
why are they not given the same education as a boy? why do they have to stay home and look after younger siblings?
how can dowry show the value of a human being?

They are not a burden. They are beautiful, creative, full of life, strong, and very valuable.
They are created by God and in his image.

Mindsets need to change.

This week

I just bought a book which I am really excited about. Hope to discover India and learn a lot from this book. Good for future travel plans. =)

Really like the painting inside and the lay out.

These trousers are so baggy that I even trip on them. Today I almost spilled my coffee because of them . They are also the most comfortable things to wear and love the print and colour.

Just playing around with my camera. =)

Isaiah 49

Restoration of Israel

This is what the Lord says:
“In the time of my favor I will answer you,
    and in the day of salvation I will help you;
I will keep you and will make you
to be a covenant for the people,
to restore the land
and to reassign its desolate inheritances,
to say to the captives, ‘Come out,’
and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’
“They will feed beside the roads
and find pasture on every barren hill.
10 They will neither hunger nor thirst,
nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them.
He who has compassion on them will guide them
and lead them beside springs of water.
11 I will turn all my mountains into roads,
and my highways will be raised up.
