Shepherd

These shepherds on the mountains have so much patience. They make sure each one of the sheeps are protected. I saw that they have a dog with them who seem to be well trained.

This picture was taken from our car on the way to Manali.  I was quite fascinated by the herd of sheep.

God is our shepherd...he leads us through ways which we might never have thought about, he protects us from harm and he know where this journey is heading.
So amazing...

I am in a crucial part of my life where I am rethinking my future. I am aware of my shepherd.

I love birds

During the trip to Rajasthan I took few photographs of birds . Here are some. You will see a lot of pigeons..=) There were also a lot of peacocks around the roads and house. But i couldn't get any photos of them.

A Bird came down the Walk –
He did not know I saw –
He bit an Angleworm in halves
And ate the fellow, raw,

And then he drank a Dew
From a convenient Grass –
And then hopped sidewise to the Wall
To let a Beetle pass –

He glanced with rapid eyes
That hurried all abroad –
They looked like frightened Beads, I thought –
He stirred his Velvet Head

Like one in danger, Cautious,
I offered him a Crumb
And he unrolled his feathers
And rowed him softer home –

Than Oars divide the Ocean,
Too silver for a seam –
Or Butterflies, off Banks of Noon
Leap, plashless as they swim.

Rajasthan

Over the winter holiday me and my family did a road trip to Rajasthan. Rajasthan mean land of the kings and I could see why it's called that..there were lots of kingdoms there. This is a state in India which is located in the north west. We travelled from Delhi to Ajmer and stayed the night, next day we drove to Jodhpur and the next day to Jaisalmer which is the farthest away from Delhi. This was an adventure as we did  not book any hotels and didn't know the way. Used GPS to find places. So much fun.
Here are some glimpses of the place.

Thar Desert in Jaisalmer. Such a beautiful place. Finally rest of the family say a desert. Check....

sunrise

“I'll tell you how the sun rose, a ribbon at a time.
The steeples swam in amethyst,
The news like squirrels ran.
The hills untied their bonnets,
The bobolinks begun.
Then I said softly to myself,

"That must have been the sun!”
