sponge almond cake

Here is the sponge cake recipe. Sponge cake is all about much you beat the eggs. Longer the better.
This recipe has worked well for me.....give it a try.

1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter

Heat milk and butter just below boiling and set aside

 Beat 6 eggs for 4-6 mins

Add 2 cups of sugar 
combine and add 
2 and half cups  flour, baking powder, half teaspoon salt
add and blend slowly 

1 teaspoon vanilla essences
add the heated milk and butter mixture

You can add some almonds and raisins if you want. 

Pour into oiled baking pan
bake 30 to 40 mins at 350 F
